Here's what I'd like:

Windows Mobile
built in GPS
Qwerty keyboard
Color screen
micro SDHC compatible
and a camera that can take a picture.

I've had the MPx300, 8125, 8525, and now the ATT8925/Tilt. The tilt claims 3mp pictures, but unless I'm in direct sunlight, the pictures are horrible. Even a well-lit room brings the fail.

Even if it only takes 2MP photos, that would be fine. I just want something that has some decent metering... maybe a real flash.

Of the things I want, I'd throw Windows Mobile out first... but I don't know if the TomTom or other GPS nav softwares can run on Symbian-type phones. Second would be the qwerty keyboard, if it was touch screen with an on-screen qwerty keyboard.

Anyone have a suggestion, or know of something out there that doesn't suck in taking pictures? I'm almost looking for a camera that a phone was grafted to with a GPS chip stuck in it.

Isn't that thing huge? Like too big to put in a pocket?

Have you used one?

Just forget taking good pics from a cell phone and get a small P&S camera on the side.

I had a Sony Erickson phone that took surpsingly good pics. Its was no SLR, but it took pretty clear pics.

I've got a P&S camera... which is on its way out.

And, while I'm good at taking my phone with me, I don't manage to swap the camera from vehicle to vehicle, so inevitably when I want a picture of something, I don't have the camera.

I have heard that the sony ericson's take decent pics, but have no clue of what model. Any input on that one John?

Unfortunately, I can't remember the model #. I don't think they make it anymore. Something went wrong with it underwarranty and AT&T replaced it with a totally different phone from a different MFR.

Twas a shame, it had amazing battery life and some other really cool features like an am/fm radio.

With what version of the camera software? I've tried most of them, and have found Version 4.08 (Build 30665) to be the best so far... but still IMO they all suck in anything but bright daylight.

Unless you've gone and done this mod... I don't see how the Tilt could be good. Heck, my Hermes was better... my A1200 was far better at low light scenarios, and I'm sure I'm on crack here... but at this point I'd even say my MPx 300 did better in low light inside shots.

Or, did you do this mod too?

My Blackberry takes 2 Meg Pixels. Works pretty good. When I get back I'll post some.
