Would like something a bit thinner and speedier. iPod Touch synched with Exchange immediately after 2.0 upgrade yesterday, so iPhone 3G may be in contention w/ Touch Pro this fall. :pirate:

i haven't decided if i want the keyboard or not. i have one with my treo and it's nice but i've heard the htc is much easier to type on than the iPhone, which was nearly impossible for me. in fact holding the iPhone for more than a few minutes made me want to chuck it across the room, that pinch and move shit bugged the hell out of me. i'll have to wait till i can get both htc's in my hands before i decide. i've heard the slide out keyboard one comes out first. :hoos:

That would be nice if the keyboard version comes out first, but I'm guessing it will lag the touch only version by a couple of months.

The iPhone/iPod Touch keyboard is fine for half sentence replies or responding "OK", but I'm with you on not liking it for any real use.

have you looked into the Diamond Pro? it may have the IR port you want. My brother was saying it has a slide-out hard keyboard which is better than the one on the soft one on the Diamond

:wifey: uses her Blackberry phone for all kinds of stuff as well. E-mail, looking stuff up on the internet constantly, calender/schedule, etc. etc. etc. For some people tons of functionality is a big plus.

our boxes like a lot of the country are controlled and opened via an IR device. the palm frees me from having to carry another device. currently i carry a 700p.
