:headpop: So apparently someone decided to **** around with my helmet at work and dropped it, breaking both base plates (the junk that has the visor ratcheting stuff in it) so now my visor won't stay closed and my little lever that cracks the visor open in traffic doesn't work. It's only ~$20 worth of parts (already ordered) to fix, but the principle of it really pisses me off. How hard is it to leave other people's shit alone? And if you can't do that, what kind of asshole doesn't tell the person that they screwed it up? :headpop: I have a private office, but the door stays open during the day when I'm not in there. Today I was busy orienting a load of freshmen, and some turd decided to play with my helmet and throw it on the floor.

You wasted your money on those replacement parts.
Helmets are only designed to take ONE impact.
Sorry to say, but your helmet is now junk. Get a new one ASAP. That one will offer no impact absorption in a crash.

I know that - it didn't get dropped hard, the visor was just open and it looks to have fallen on that and stressed the little ears. Cheap-ass and fragile design to begin with, quite disappointing since it's supposedly a high-end helmet.

I have a fullfaced of the same design, Modular I think they call it. The visor wouldn't hold itself up after 6 months of use.

This is just a normal full-face rather than modular. It is really disappointing to see how cheap the visor retention/ratcheting mechanism is on a damn $650 helmet. They almost redeem themselves by selling the replacement parts cheap, but not enough. Shoei can kiss my nuts.

I would hate to see what a hardley helmet looks like after 2 years of use.. sheeit. :jump:
