Had Brady and Belicheat owned up to it at the time, we wouldn't even be talking about it now. Instead they stonefaced lied about the whole thing. I don't think they are being punished so much for the act itself, it's being arrogant enough to think they are above the rules and NFL fans are stupid.

its funny to watch fans act like their team lost to the patriots because of a slightly deflated ball or film study instead of losing on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, the patriots having a solid defensive scheme with a hall of fame front and being picked apart offensively by a future hall of fame QB :clapping:

Jerk!

Im interested in how this changes the patriots by a wide marginl league best fumbling rate.

Which brings up the burning question...easily one of the best to ever play the game...why is he compelled to cheat to gain an advantage he probably doesn't even need?

Why risk your legacy on something that silly?
his legacy isn't at stake. get a grip. :rotflmao:

Wouldn't a softer ball prove more beneficial to a receiver than a quarterback?
that's the thing. It is different to every player. The PSI level was set by a group of ex nfl qbs. going from 15 to 13 psi may be beneficial to one and detrimental to another.

LOL, he won't get suspended for 4 regular season games..... He is going to appeal the ruling and whether or not he has any valid reasons to do so, his punishment will get reduced.

I could see it getting reduced to 1 regular season game or 3 to 4 preseason games.

it reminds me of the recruiting "investigations" sec fanbases would wage against others in attempts to bring them down. 10rC got us with the Means scandal and it was later revealed to be nothing more than rumors repeated by 10rC head coach Phillip Fulmer who acted as a secret witness to save his program from dirty recruiting allegations :rotflmao:

The damage is done to Brady. His only hope is to get the entire thing thrown out on appeal.

It's not the cash, it's not the games. He keeps his rings.

The issue is that he is one driven mother f***er, and has played with a chip on his shoulder since being a 6th round pick. He earned something special - to be uttered in the same breath with someone like Joe Montana.

The asterisk is there forever, now. He and his fans can argue it forever, but it's there.

Nixon didn't need to break into the Watergate hotel to thump McGovern, but people remember him for that, not going to China.

Dumbass. SMDH

noone is pushing for the NFL to investigate overinflate gate because "karma" caught the packers and they didn't win the superbowl. Deflategate would have been forgotten had Seattle not given the game away on a stupid play

31 other fan bases are now mad that karma didn't catch NEP and Brady, so now, lets just pressure goodell to suspend on "more likely than not"

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has ruled on Tom Brady’s appeal, deciding to uphold his four-game suspension for his role in the DeflateGate scandal.
The league cited Brady’s unwillingness to cooperate with Ted Wells’ investigation, and the fact the quarterback ordered his cell phone destroyed during the investigation as the reason why they upheld the four-game ban.
It was reported earlier this month that the NFLPA will fight in federal court any suspension given to Brady, so now we await to hear if Brady wants to go that route.
Brady, backed by the NFLPA and outside counsel Jeffrey Kessler, had filed the appeal of the four-game suspension issued by Goodell back in early May.
The 10-hour hearing was held Tuesday, June 23 at the NFL offices in New York City, with Goodell serving as the arbitrator.
Ted Wells, who was responsible for the 243-page investigative report which served as the basis for the punishment, was also present, as were Don Yee, Brady’s agent; Tom DePaso, NFLPA general counsel; Jeff Pash, NFL executive VP; Adolpho Birch, NFL senior VP of law and labor policy. According to Adam Schefter, Brady testified under oath during the hearing.
