I like how GM has an entire ad blasting Ford for using Aluminum because it's not strong. And these started airing after GM announced the next gen Silverado/Sierra would be aluminum.

And Dodge's head said aluminum was for beer cans.

If you look back, this is pretty much the GM playbook. Make fun of new designs, materials, technologies...then implement those same things a year or two later.
