Kitchen renovation recommendations

Looking at redoing the cabinets and layout of our kitchen this year and just curious if anyone has any must do items? Like you love your farmhouse sink, or microwave drawer, appliance garage, etc. Open to ideas.

Design wise, I still prefer shaker style cabinets to anything else. But that's just a taste preference.

I like the microwave/oven built ins.

Big fan of gas stove top, but that's just a preference.

I prefer all drawers in base cabinets, except under the sinks. Our base cabinets are all frameless, and each has three drawers, the bottom two are around 12" deep, and the top one is around 6" deep. I put two sinks into our kitchen and that is probably my favorite feature. We use the second sink all the time...it is right by all our keurig/wine/drink stuff. The primary sink (a single, large tub which is absolutely awesome) is by the dishwasher and gets used for all dishes, pans, etc.

Agree on the drawers for lowers. Also recommend soft close and a lazy susan for the corner cabinet. One glass front cabinet is always a nice touch. I have put the microwave over the stove on the two kitchens I have done.

If the pantry is involved in this reno, make it as big as you could possibly imagine a pantry being, then double that. I've never met anyone that said "damn, I sure do wish our pantry was smaller."

I'm not a fan of over the range microwaves, but in my kitchen it's essential. I'll be buying a new one soon.
