I saw that on the news earlier. It didn't look like a pitbull to me either.
The kid is fine.
I would not expect a cat to do that, and I like cats. Pretty cool.
Why does the mother leave the kid? He has to get up on hid own?
The dog was coming back around so she went after it. she ended up getting bit too.

When I saw it on Fox the reporter said that the cat is loved in the area and was rubbing up against her and rolling over for tummy tickles when she visited the family
