Drill out a Tuffy lock?

Lost 1 key and broke another key. Tuffy's suggestion was to drill it out since they wont make me a new one. Took it to a locksmith and they couldn't pick it.

Anyone drill theirs out and what type of bit did you use?

I'm not sure, but I would imagine A cobalt bit would do the trick. I watched A locksmith drill A lock once. He drilled through the pins.

I'm not the best with paint program, but you get the idea.

Had to drill mine out because I lost the key. It took a while using a 7/8" titanium bit. Drilled right through the key slot.

I went to the rock climbing gym after I posted this and was talking with a guy. He ended up drilling it out for me in the parking lot in ~5 mins. Now I just need to order a new set of locks and sell it.

45083? Those locks me anyways. Had to jiggle the f'rs to do anything. That's how I ended up breaking the key in the first. Lost the other one when my keys fell out through a hole in my shorts at the OSU - Youngstown St game last year.

Mine are 45035 & 45069. I would have if I'd had yours.

That part still puzzles me. I opened mine once with a bent paper clip and a small screwdriver. It took my ~20 minutes, but they're really not that hard a lock to pick.
