Was cleaning out my old toy box and came across this train set. A little polishing the tracks with steel wool and it's running again. Thinking about throwing it on ebay. Anyone have any idea what it's worth?

Bachmann HO Scale. Has 12 curved tracks, including the power part, and two straight tracks. Four cars plus the engine and tender. Has a tub of parts for elevating the track, signs, power lines, etc. Original boxes, what is left, that is.

Here are the part numbers I have:
41-505-02 USRA 0-6-0 & Slope Tender
43-1006-08 42' Open Quad Offset Hopper Rock Island
43-1007-02 36' Wide-Vision Steel Caboose Santa Fe
(unknown) Lehigh Valley 50' Steel Reefer #7120
(unknown) P&LE 42279

Googling around, it looks like a few sell for $20-40 and the others for $3-7 each. Thinking I might toss it up for $50 + shipping.

Meh. Of all of the junk I have, I don't see a lot of value in keeping it for kids. Would rather sell it to someone who would use it.

I have a set of cars just like that. No engine. Not worth all that much but I was gonna flip it anyway. They weren't a part of my childhood memories

Yeah, I remember playing with it, but not really one of my childhood memories. Legos, on the other hand....

If I owned a house, I might buy it from you to go with the HO stuff I had as a kid. I want to build a permanent layout one day.

Better get busy. People I have known who are into that hobby do it for a lifetime, and are never, ever "finished."
