Im currently on teh percocet.I seem to get just about all the listed side effects to some degree.
The problem with NSAIDs is that they can cause bleeding ulcers, kidney failure, blood pressure elevation, swelling, retard healing of injuries, and probably accelerate joint destruction. Oh, and some of them make you bleed too much if you have surgery. . . Oops, forgot to mention that most of them increase your probability of having a heart attacks.I don't like opiates. They bring on the suck. In fact I don't like drugs at all, I have tried some but meh, I don't get it. When I got my Dental implant they gave me Hydrocodone and Ibuprophen. With the horse pill Ibuprophens (800mg) I felt no pain. I am not sure why he gave me the Hydrocodone? Why do they do that with such effective NSAIDS these days?
I've been told that more than once. I don't get it. The "I don't give a sh!t" effect is very mild.I'll take whatever you don't use off your hands if you like.
Absolutely correct but they help for a brief period as in my case 24-48 hours after the surgery, if people read the instructions on the bottle they should be ok, its the goof balls that drink like a fish and eat them to get through the day that eventually end up with problems. Incidentally the only "pain killer" that does not contain an NSAID is Oxycontin...this is why the addicts prefer it, won't fry your liver or kidneys. The problem with NSAIDs is that they can cause bleeding ulcers, kidney failure, blood pressure elevation, swelling, retard healing of injuries, and probably accelerate joint destruction. NSAIDs have their place but may be overused.
