Why do Americans suck at worldwide competitions?

Christian Pulisic is legit going off for Chelsea. game winner in a recent fixture, then pops in one v. City.

He really fits with their program. They're young as shit.

him kicking ass will be a serious level up from the usual story of an American doing well in Europe. It'll be an American leading a Premier League title. The offensive role doesn't hurt for publicity.

English. Speak English. I have no idea what any of that means.

There's an American only aged maybe 22. He's reaching a level unheard of for a Yankee. We don't grow forwards so polished that they feature for a top tier club. He's not approaching that level. He's there. Been there long enough he's already been transferred between clubs for a fee around 80 million.

He's been in the news since maybe age 17. His previous club grows a lot of young guys, & play them in premier competitions.

edit: & yeah, the game is so fractured across the world, shorthand terms get weird. fixture means a league game, not a tourney. saying 'fixture' makes the game's value to the team clear - since midseason tourneys except Europe's big one are valued less. City just means a particular team in England. Man City v Man Utd, people just say city or utd, blues or reds. AC Milan & Inter milan are just milan & inter. Madrid has Atletico & Real.

only current poster here that follows this shit like I do is Redshirt. the shit gets tough to explain, the competitions are so different. There is no Super Bowl. The most valuable trophy is for a tournament that takes a year just for qualification to enter, then a season to complete the bracket.
