The difference between the toys we had as a kid (speaking for the old farts) and this one, and any "toys" like it, is the parents attitude.
If we were a disruption in the class, the teacher had permission to confiscate the toy and also punish as necessary to control our behavior. This was also dealt with once you were home from school.
Now parents use the bullshit ADD/ADHD excuse and the need for "stress" toys to cover their ass for shitty parenting.
Same goes for "service" animals.
