$99 for 4tb isn't bad. I bricked my 1.5tb external drive earlier this year when I plugged it into the wrong power adapter. I'm currently down to a 2tb WD Passport Ultra Metal and an ancient 250mb WD Passport (USB 2.0). Might have an old 1tb laying around in a aftermarket case, but can't find it.
Also considering a couple of these for some spare SSDs I have laying around:

Tough decisions. On one hand, the portability is nice. On the other, I could consolidate a bunch of things onto one drive for backup purposes.
