1500VA UPS Battery Backups are less than $150, why are 3000VA almost $1000?

Seriously... this popular 1500VA UPS Battery Backu is less than $140 on Amazon but if you want to double the battery storage to 3000VA they are almost all around $1000?

Does it cost that much more to wire in a couple extra batteries?
