If you're in a city alone for bsuiness, how do you keep busy?

I always find going to a bar alone to be awkward and fairly boring.

I guess I could just get a call girl... :idb: :bugeyed:

Same as any other time. A good book, wander around and explore the area, or just crash with a bucket of chicken and porno on the hotel tv. :D

This is what I do, other than the bucket of chicken and porno business. ;)

Depends on what I'm traveling for. Last 2 trips were a total of 18 hours and 24 hours.

I usually check what's available in advance. I packed my snowboard to Boston and drove a hour out to some little mountain. Packed a fishing rod and some light tackle out to MN. There always the laptop with wireless to get pr0n and waste time playing GTA.

If that fails I find a gym, pick up young hardbody 18-19 yr old boys :agree:

Do a little research of the area as suggested. I'm in Edmonton all day again tomorrow and plan to finally get to the mall there. Too bad the next day I'm in Calgary for only 16 hours. May find soemthing to do but am not sure.

Usually I have a car and I bring up the most interesting thing in driving range and go there... Just drive to see new sites if need be... can't get lost since I'm not going anyplace inparticular. Good to have the GPS in case I need to get back someplace quicker.

I plan my trips around events going on there, make sure there is a baseball game or something similar going on.

Nashville was the worst cause I would go there 4 times per year and I hated country music, I stayed at the company apartment so I couldnt leave it a mess so I usually headed to the Outback and wandered around Best Buy etc. Once in a while one of the guys from the Shop would be able to go out.

dive bar, not slow, not busy. Bare my soul to the hot bartender, and get free drinks. If they bartender wont let me help her stock(aka wont go back to the hotel with me) i go with the fried chicken and porn.
