I have installed an automatic image resizer on JUOT. By default images over 800 pixels wide will be resized to a max of 800 pixels in width. You click on the bar above the image to see the full sized image in the post.
If you go to your User CP -> Edit Options you can fully customize this mod. You can turn it off completely, set a custom width and/or height, and change whether the image enlarges in the page, or in a new window, or in a new page.
Users with higher res screens will probably want to change the max width to 1024. Users with smaller netbook screens might prefer 640 pixels or smaller. It is up to you, 800 is the forum default.
