Its no Nissan

Apparently he is also bothered by the way nissan engines sound.

There is a big difference between not liking the sound of a particular engine vs. having start up knock. It sounds a lot better since I put a K&N drop in in it and it cut the silencer off of the intake box. It gives it a little bit of growl without being obnoxious.

They are fine if you don't over oil them. The only air filters that I read about causing a lot of problems are the Volant power cores.

Still junk. Just use a quality dry filter
