I have often wondered what they think of us in our everyday actions. From past experiences, I know they watch us but I try to keep from thinking about it. If they are older, they know we are human and do things that may seem odd. The children are the ones that I really feel for. They have no one to explain to them what is happening and they must watch as those around them do some strange things.

That was the premise of precursor to the true story behind the exorcist, and they wrote that into the screenplay as well.

I was never allowed to have one growing up, someone told my mother that was the very last thing a child like me needed.

I listed to it with the sound off as I didn't feel like putting on my headphones, but interesting twist in that she sees other people as demons or whatever, when she is the one that is possessed.

Probably best. Although I question the "powers" of objects such as the ouiji board, I think with someone who is as "special" as you, you could definetly manifest something that would scare the crap out of you.

i don't know your entire story but it seems pretty similar to a friend of mine from highschool. you didn't grow up in rock island, IL did you by chance?

his family was big into ceremonies and ouijii boards. their house ended up becoming possesed. here's a couple accounts of what happened according to him:

one time he was sitting on the toilet directly above the table they gathered around in the basement (it was a creepy set up in the basement imho). a "spirit" or maybe he referred to it as a "vapor" i can't remember, came up through the floor in front of him and consumed him somehow. he said he felt paralized for some time, i can't remember how long. maybe a minute or so. then it left and continued straght up through the ceiling.

another time they were gone from the house and it caught fire. how it caught fire: a mirror in the upstairs hallway somehow became convexed to focus the sunlight from a window on the family picture across the hall from the mirror. no sh!t.

any of that sound like what you've come to know?

I've had that happen on nearly every toilet I've used at one point or another. Usually after a meal consisting heavily of garlic.
