Wow, that is cheap. I (my wife really) find 2,700k a bit yellow and 3,000k about perfect.
Incandescent is the best light.Ignoring energy costs: LED > incandescent > CFL
Nope. Cost is really the only advantage of incandescent over modern dimmable LEDs for standard size bulbs.Incandescent is the best light.
No way I'd pay $12 each for replacing standard incandescent bulbs.I bought from 1000bulbs.com. Got dimmable 60 watt equivalent bulbs and dimmable retro fit recessed lights for $12 apiece. No complaints.
overall I think I've averaged $7 a bulb, and I have a lot of them. The most being $17 for a 3-way that really wasn't worth it and $40 for a shop light that really kicks ass but it's not really worth the $$ either. No way I'd pay $12 each for replacing standard incandescent bulbs.
Just read an editorial about that in the PD. ****ing Kasich appointees to the PUCO.It would seem everything I have ever done to save energy has been negated by the power company and the PUCO just approved another rate hike because their equipment is antiquated. bullshit.
what exactly is the purpose of this test?I am currently (no pun) testing an led 60 watt equiv on an inverter to see how long the light will stay lit. Starting time is 0945 mountain daylight time.
2-packs for $3.97 at WalMart every day. So far I've had good luck with them.Lower has 2-packs of LED Bulbs for $3.98 through Monday.
if you mean the GreatValue (Walmart brand) yes I have had very good luck with them too. They are a lot better now than when they first came out.2-packs for $3.97 at WalMart every day. So far I've had good luck with them.
Same here - I have 6 double-tube 48" in the garage I want gone. Someone posted some up a while back -- either Ralph or SAD I think.I need to replace some 4' shop light fluorescent tubes with LEDs of some sort. I could easily rewire the fixtures for the LED tubes that don't use the ballast, or install LED tubes where you leave the ballast in place and wired up, or replace the entire fixture with a new LED fixture.
What's my best way to go, and why? $ is for sure a factor.
Go, and thanks.
