Granite sucks.

I have granite and I agree. But not for the snobbery reasons. I hate any multicolored surface because I'm colorblind. I lose things on it all the time.

+1 for Quartz. If I ever bother to replace my Corian, which I'm not a fan of but it's what came with the house, this is what I'll go with.

I went with Uba Tuba Granite when I redid my kitchen:

Granite is my favorite option. I love marble, but it is softer, and could potentially stain, and I think it is a better option for a bathroom. Aside from taking a hammer and just beating on it, you pretty much cant damage granite. There is virtually no maintentance, just wipe it down.
