I had it above my fireplace at my condo and I loved it.

and I went back and forth for months about doing that before we finally pulled the trigger about a year or so again and have enjoyed it so far.

We had our tv above the fireplace for a while. At first I liked it. Then I didn't.

My sister had that refer, hated it and got a GE. My mom has that refer and hates it, but wants something more substantial than a GE to replace it during her kitchen renovation.

Separate media area is the correct way to go.
