The only reason that the south exists today as more than a back water is the Strong Federal Government that provided the TVA and other projects in the first half of the last century. Only reason Louisiana has lasted as long as it has is the Strong Federal Government's Army Corps of Engineers, supported mostly with northern tax dollars. Had Lousiana contributed its share rather than wasting its funds on corrupt political bosses, the New Orleans levy's might still be standing, it is the Strong Federal Government that allowed it to last as long as it did.

It is a Strong Federal Government that is about to make 20 million illegal immingrants legal .. and who will be receiving the Strong Federal Government's bait and switch programs known as S.S. and Welfare .. and also the future Socialized Medicine.
It is the Strong Federal Government that is allowing and pushing our jobs overseas ... AND it is that Same Strong Federal Government (the same one that defeated the US Constitution back in 1866) that is buddied up with large Multinational Corporations that have you bent over a log ... and are pounding you ass as we speak (Does it feel Good?) as they get tax breaks and you pay out the ass to support the formerly mentioned bait and switch programs.
It is that same Strong Federal Government that is forcing God out of society, passing "laws regarding religious expresssion" which actually Violate the Separtion of Church and State Clause.
It is that same Strong Federal Government that is producing the worst ****ing students in the industrialized world (hence, why you have the dumbass view that you have).
AND .. it is that same Strong Federal Government that tried to pack some 124 Billion in pork spending in the last fiscal bill. Granted, you probably don't pay taxes (most burger flippers and McDonald's generally don't) .. but I do!

BTW .. IF .. the civil war was about slavery .. then why did Lincoln propose to protect slavery if the south would not secede (which the south refused), and the South offer to abolish slavery if they were allowed to leave (which the north refused)????????
