I think aliens could exist. I have never seen one, but I keep an open mind.

Josh* said:Do you think it was laughing at its own mischief (I do), or are you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt it read your mind?
Almost an exact summary of my thoughts on this.DHMeieio said:That's different. I think in an essentially infinite universe, the chances of other life are almost absolute. Even intelligent life. The thing is though, that the universe is so vast and it takes life so long to evolve (hundreds of millions of years for us thus far), it is extremely unlikely that we will ever physically encounter other intelligent life. There could be a billion star systems with intelligent life in them and they would all still be thousands of light-years apart, making travel between them or even knowledge of each other almost impossible.

I probably would have been yelling out "What the **** is your problem?"Hedley Lamarr said:The timing was too good. The minute I was thinking that the light trick needed to stop, the laughing started. Way too good of timing. IMHO
Hedley Lamarr said:You will be fine. I am keeping the best stories out of this thread.
Big Red said:That would be hard to get used to. I think it would be a neat experience to go to a known haunted house to see if I experienced anything abnormal such as this.
Part of me thinks this is for the best, but another part of me wants you to spill all the details. This subject seriously fascinates me.Hedley Lamarr said:You will be fine. I am keeping the best stories out of this thread.
Absolutely. I feel like I'm definitely missing out.Big Red said:This subject seriously fascinates me.
mnjeeper said:Has this one ever happened for you? Is he possibly better already at this?
Hedley Lamarr said:He seems to see objects rather than people. We will travel and he asks about the silos and tractors in the fields. When I look, I see nothing. Occasionaly, I will happen across a very gruesome individual and luckily, he sees nothing. Other times, he appears to see exactly what I see. I don't question him yet.
So did you check it out to see if there was a physical cause? I was staying in a hotel room in Vegas one time, and sometime after midnight, my girlfriend at the time and I were both awakened by a table lamp that came on by itself. That was spooky, but it turned out that the bulb was loose and the lamp switch had been left on. During the night some slight vibration had cause the bulb to shift a tiny bit and make contact.Hedley Lamarr said:Yes, I woke up my wife and she too saw the light go on and off. She fell back to sleep as did I. Later, I woke up to the lights flashing again, we figured it must be a bad switch or something earlier. I started to catch on something wasn't right and was getting pissed when he started laughing at me. He knew he was pissing me off and was really enjoying it.
mnjeeper said:I don't recall if you've said, but what are her feelings on this whole deal?
BTW-I should be going to sleep....but I don't want to miss this

All the time. I can turn it off, but if they are really strong, they will make their presence known. Historical locations are a love/hate thing for me. I recently went to several civil war battle fields, it is like an odd Discovery Channel movie.Josh* said:Ever see this kind of thing on vacation away from home (and family)?
How about camping when you're in a remote enough place that very few people throughout history have spent time at?
Big Red said:I wonder if, through hypnosis, a person can be told to open his/her mind to this sort of thing. The interaction between the subconscious and conscious mind is quite interesting to me as well
